تقلد الأستاذ/ هشام عز العرب منصب رئيس مجلس الإدارة والعضو المنتدب للبنك التجاري الدولي- مصر منذ عام وحتى وخلال فترة شغله لهذا المنصب استطاع عز العرب أن يرسخ مكانة البنك كأكبر مؤسسة مصرفية تابعة للقطاع الخاص في مصر بزيادة في رأس المال السوقي من 1 مليار جنيه مصري إلى أكثر من مليار جنيه مصري، وهو ما جعل من أسهم البنك أقوى مكونات المؤشر الرئيسي للبورصة المصرية وإدراجه في بورصتي نيويورك ولندن
