Francesca Gonshaw (born 25 November ) is an English former actress who appeared in television, theatre and cinema productions in the s. From to , she appeared as Maria Recamier in the BBC's 'Allo 'Allo! television situation comedy series set in occupied France during World War II.

After early roles in the BBC's Shades and Gesualdo the Prince, Gonshaw featured as Arsinoe in The Cleopatras in After leaving Allo 'Allo! for the role of Amanda Palmer in the drama Howard's Way, Gonshaw appeared in other productions including as Lisa Walters in the Central soap-opera Crossroads (–85), as Maria in the movie () and in the Grammy-winning music video for Peter Gabriel's "Digging in the Dirt" (). On stage, she played Hermia in A Midsummer Night's Dream and Ophelia in Hamlet. After her acting career, she went on to work for Miramax Books, and then became curator of an art gallery.

    Francesca Gonshaw, (25 November ), is a British actress best known for playing Maria Recamier in 'Allo 'Allo!.

    She had attended drama school in her youth but was kicked out for being "too outspoken and arrogant".

    In , she met Jeremy Lloyd on a beach on the coast of Spain, leading to her being cast as Maria, the tiny but lusty waitress at Café René in 'Allo 'Allo!. She played the role for the first three series but did not return for the fourth, complaining that she felt she had been Typecast by her time on the series and had dreams of playing more abitious roles. She instead took the role of Amanda Parker in Howards' Way, a drama.

    She also played Arsinoe in The Cleopatras, a drama series about ancient Rome. From to , she played Lisa Walters in Crossroads, with a performance that was slated by some critics who compared her line delivery to someone reading from an optician's chart.
